How many times have you said you would like more sales?
Well are you really doing enough to get them? When’s the last time you touched base with some of your previous customers or followed up an enquiry?
If you’ve not been doing either then you need to get in touch now because one of the easiest ways to increase sales is by staying in contact with the people who have done business with you before or who have shown previous interest in doing business with you.
You need to show your past, current and prospective clients that you really value them and here’s 3 really easy ways of doing that:
Say ‘Thank You’
It’s a surprisingly effective technique for increasing sales. And while you’re saying ‘thank you’ also ask for feedback, request testimonials and even try to get them to buy again!
You need to make contact with customers who haven’t bought from you for a while. Whilst contacting a past customer can be a bit daunting, it doesn’t have to be a hard sell. Pick up the phone and simply say hello and ask how things are going; if you don’t feel confident enough to do that then write to them, email them or even send a postcard. Create a system that ensures you keep in contact with all your customers regularly.
Say ‘Let’s Do Business’
It’s a known fact that 80% of sales aren’t made the first time someone gets in contact with you – so why do most business owners stop after the first contact? Don’t assume that these people will have taken their business elsewhere. Keep getting in touch and keep doing it longer than your competitor!
Until next time, remember …
You never know what business is out there waiting for you until you go looking for it!
